High Tech Fabric
Do you know any other headwear company that develops headwear and has the goal to achieve the maximum in comfort, performance and protection that is technically possible?

I don't. I don't even know one company that claims to do something special in headwear. Even Nike with their huge research budgets completely ignores headwear and offers caps made out of non-descript material.

Joan as textile engineer decided to change this and choose a microfibre as basis.

There are over 250 parameters that define the function of a microfibre textile and then you can get the yarns in qualities from 5 cents/kilo to 5000 dollar/kilo and you definitely pay for what you get.

To cut a story short: After 17 years now of continuously improving the yarn and fabric the Original Buff® is now used in Artic conditions AND Deserts because of its unique abilities. Do you know any other fabric that can claim this? I don't.

How did he get there?

By giving it to the most extreme adventurers and people that spend a lot of time in bad weather conditions.

Here is how it works

3 basic ways of wearing the Buff® fabric on your skin decide how the fabric will perform.

Cooling

Cooling A SINGLE layer flat on your skin and NO air pockets will make the fabric transport all moisture away from your skin, distribute it over the entire area where it finally evaporates. This evaporation creates a cooling effect that takes the heat of your skin and let's you stay in the comfort zone.

Chill Protection

Chill_Protection A SINGLE layer in wrinkles and the fabric will protect you from chill while remaining fully breathable. Change to this method in chilly conditions to get back into your comfort zone.

Warming

Warming Fold your Buff® so that the fabric lies in several layers on your skin. This way the fabric will develop a warming effect. The more layers you fold the stronger this effect.
